Goins publishes interview with West Coast jazz guitarist

Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor of music, conducted an exclusive interview with jazz guitarist Jacques Lesure, a highly acclaimed artist established in the Los Angeles area. Goins maintained a long-standing relationship with Lesure since 1991 when they both performed as colleagues in jazz venues throughout Atlanta.

The interview was featured in the September 2021 issue of Jazz Guitar Today, the premier online journal for jazz guitar enthusiasts worldwide. Goins, who has been appointed as a contributing writer to the magazine, regularly publishes a wide variety of pieces, including exclusive jazz artist profiles, CD reviews, and articles specifically focused on jazz education.

Faculty in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance have received Grammy awards and nominations, and Emmy awards; produced recordings on international and national CD labels and published books and journal articles with international and national publishing houses and professional organizations; and performed and presented research in every continent in the world, except Antarctica.
