The Chapman Center for Rural Studies invites students, faculty, staff and the public to its first-ever Digitization Day event this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in 107 Leasure Hall.

Participants will get a chance to digitally preserve old photos, documents and other items using the center's skills and special equipment. Flash drives to digitally store your memories will be provided to the first 30 guests. You may also bring your own form of storage, if preferred. A trained member of the center will be on-site to teach and assist with the digitization process. We will digitize up to 15 items per visitor.

The Chapman Center for Rural Studies is a digital humanities research lab center for excellence in the College of Arts and Sciences. Its mission is to research, preserve and share the history and lived experiences of rural Kansas. It accomplishes this through undergraduate interdisciplinary research projects, building partnerships with the K-State community and engaging a rich network of historical museums and public history organizations in the state of Kansas.

To reserve your space for the event, please RSVP to chapmancenter@k-state.edu or 785-532-0380 by Friday, Sept. 17.
