Parking permits to go on sale June 2
Faculty/staff permits will go on sale Wednesday, June 2. Current faculty/staff permit holders will receive an email on June 2. Other faculty/staff interested in purchasing permits can visit Parking Services' website and click on the K-State Online Parking link to purchase a permit for the upcoming year. Faculty/staff permits are valid from Aug. 1 through July 31.
Price increases were approved as were adjustments to the three tiers. The increases are due to rising costs for maintenance and other cost increases over the past six years since the last increase. The following are the new tiers and base permit prices:
- FS1 — annual salary is less than $40,000 — annual permit is $170.
- FS2 — annual salary is from $40,000 to $80,000 — annual permit is $203.
- FS3 — annual salary is more than $80,000 — annual permit is $225.
If ordered through pay-deduction, the increases amount to $.75 per paycheck for FS1, $.90 per paycheck for FS2 and $1 per paycheck for FS3. With the change to the tier levels, some employees will pay less for their permits this year.
