Kansas State University continues to provide updates in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The following is a summary of announcements from Sept. 7-11.

Updates continue to be posted on the COVID-19 website, which includes guidance and frequently asked questions about the return to university campuses. Guidance and FAQ content that has been updated recently includes adjustments to the spring 2021 academic calendar, additions to academic instruction and clarification on isolation and quarantine. The website continues to highlight the new online dashboard with COVID-19 data.
The spring 2021 academic calendar has been adjusted.
Provost Chuck Taber has announced an adjustment to the spring 2021 academic calendar and the status of planning for course modalities, classroom scheduling and enrollment. The spring 2021 academic calendar begins one week later on Jan. 25 and ends with previously scheduled commencement exercises May 14-15. The altered spring schedule eliminates spring break.
The university continues to track and evaluate COVID-19 data in our community.
Every week, K-State is updating the online dashboard that tracks COVID-19 data in university-connected communities.
The Riley County Health Department has identified new COVID-19 outbreaks and reported new cases.
As of Sept. 9, the Riley County Health Department has reported 600 total active cases and 704 recovered cases in Riley County. The department also has identified new outbreaks associated with Greek houses.
K-State has numerous resources to support employees during this time.

COVID-19 compliance surveys will be available for faculty and staff throughout the fall semester.
Throughout the semester, K-State faculty and staff will be invited to complete a COVID-19 compliance survey every two weeks. The first survey closed on Thursday, Sept. 10, but the next survey will be available during the week of Sept. 21.
