Psychological sciences to host Research Information Fair

Submitted by Taylor L. Simonson

The psychological sciences department will host a Research Information Fair from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, on the fourth floor of Bluemont Hall. Undergraduates are invited to come learn about the range of research opportunities in the department.

The event will include free food, lab tours and active demonstrations. Each lab in the department will have graduate and/or undergraduate representatives who will discuss and showcase the work that is being done.

Research experience looks great on resumes and/or CVs when applying to jobs and/or graduate school. You will be exposed to chances to develop skills that will help you inside and outside of a college setting — e.g., written and verbal communication, critical thinking, problem solving, etc. — while receiving feedback from graduate students and professors on how to strengthen these skills.

Psychological sciences research is open to all interested students, not just psychology major and minors.
