Assistant professor of geology to chair technical session in petroleum event in Wichita

Karin Goldberg, assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences' geology department, will chair a session at the American Association of Petroleum Geologists Mid-Continent Section Meeting, Oct. 5-8 in Wichita.

The event, hosted by the Kansas Geological Survey, will focus on the integration of petroleum geology, business and finance, and the new technologies going forward.

Goldberg's session is titled "Petrophysics, Diagenesis, and Chemostratigraphy of Mid-Continent Plays." Goldberg will also be one of the panelists in a discussion on climate change at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6.
