Cat Band auditions begin Wednesday
The Cat Band, an ensemble that performs during K-State women's and men's basketball games, will have auditions on Wednesday, Sept. 25, through Wednesday, Oct. 2.
The ensemble meets for a minimal amount of time; one five-minute audition and three two-hour rehearsals in October. Outside of these commitments, band members perform at home games for both teams. The ensemble is split into two bands so that members are not playing at every single game.
Upon a successful audition, members of the group receive a free Cat Band polo and get the opportunity to travel with women's and men's teams Big 12, NCAA and/or NIT tournaments. Members can also take Cat Band for zero or one credit.
