Honorees of the Women of Distinction Recognition Ceremony

On Sept. 19, the K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering, known as KAWSE, hosted the eighth annual Women of Distinction Recognition Ceremony. 

The ceremony recognized K-State women faculty for achievements, such as earning tenure and promotion, being promoted to full professor, or winning a university-wide award. Those individuals recognized received a Women of Distinction lapel pin.

The following women were honored at the ceremony:

Universitywide awards

• Tamara Bauer, Presidential Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching; Staley School of Leadership Studies.

• Lidia Montenegro Cadena, Kansas State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering Postdoctoral Researcher Travel Award; entomology department, College of Agriculture.
