Attend research assistant professor candidate seminar

Submitted by Jeanette Thurston

The Food Science Institute and the Department of Horticulture and Natural Resources invites faculty, staff and students to attend seminars by candidates for produce safety research assistant professor on Friday, Sept. 20, and Friday, Sept. 27, both beginning at 10:30 a.m. in 2024 Throckmorton Hall.

This 12-month, non-tenure track research assistant professor position will be located at the Olathe campus but will work closely with faculty across K-State to develop a new program that is complementary and builds upon existing food science and horticulture research and extension programs.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain an innovative, nationally recognized, stakeholder-informed, and externally funded research program that directly addresses the needs of Kansas producers, especially small-scale, diversified produce and mixed crop and animal farms.
