Submitted by Peying Fong

Join the K-State chapter of Sigma Xi — the scientific research society — and Kansas Citizens for Science for Science Cafe at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Aggieville's Radina's.

Aida Farough from K-State's geology department, will present "Drilling into the Abyss in Search of Life and Resources."

"Join us to learn about the journey of a marine geologist, on a scientific expedition to the South Pacific Ocean, where for the first time scientists drilled into a hydrothermally active submarine volcano."

Come join us for an exciting, interactive discussion on underwater volcanism.
