Administration and finance office relocations, new hire

Submitted by Cindy Bontrager

The Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance has temporarily relocated. In addition, Blake Abbe has been hired as assistant vice president for university risk and compliance officer.

The office has temporarily relocated to 104 Anderson Hall while mechanical work is completed in 105 Anderson Hall. The Division of Financial Services administrative office has temporarily relocated to the fifth floor of Unger Complex. Telephone numbers for both offices remain the same. Both offices plan to return to 105 Anderson Hall on March 19.

Abbe is K-State's first assistant vice president for university risk and compliance officer. He will begin on March 5 and will be in 103 Anderson Hall. Abbe will be responsible for developing a collaborative compliance program that mitigates K-State's compliance risks and assisting in identifying and managing other risks across the university. Abbe is currently the executive director of risk management at Texas Woman's University. Once the Office of Vice President for Administration and Finance returns to 105 Anderson Hall, Sarah Barrett, Clery Act federal compliance coordinator, will relocate to 104 Anderson Hall to join Abbe in the risk and compliance office.
