Public lecture on rural change in Slovenia

Luchka Lorber, vice rector and geography professor at the University of Maribor, will present the public lecture "Functional Social and Environmental Changes in Rural Areas of Slovenia" at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, in the Big 12 Room in the K-State Student Union.

Lorber is an economic geographer with interests in both rural and urban geography. She has been internationally active in rural geography, and is at Kansas State University to learn more about rural conditions, change and development in Kansas as part of a bilateral travel grant with Lisa Harrington.

The talk is sponsored by the geography department and Gamma Theta Upsilon-Beta Psi chapter.
