Lecture-capture demonstration at K-State Salina May 6

Submitted by Information Technology Services

Are you looking to accelerate learning outcomes and retention? Would you like to:

  • Encourage students to review complicated material repeatedly at their convenience
  • Ensure distance learners receive the same quality education as traditional students
  • Create more interactive and personal online learning experiences

You can do all those things and more by adding video to your courses. Come see for yourself how Mediasite can enhance K-State courses from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, in 120 Technology Center on the K-State Salina campus. An information session will follow the demonstration.

Mediasite is a lecture capture-and-distribution software in limited use at Kansas State University that allows instructors to make live and on-demand digital recordings of their lectures and presentations. Mediasite is easy-to-use and allows instructors to focus less on the video technology and more on the video message.

With video lecture capture, instructors can make face-to-face class time more appealing to students, and out-of-class learning more productive. To learn more about recording your lectures with Mediasite, contact Artur Gregorian, electronic media coordinator in the Office of Mediated Education, at 785-532-2483.
