Enhanced access to State Self Insurance Fund program for work-related incidents

Submitted by HCS Benefits

As of Monday, April 12, the State Self Insurance Fund implemented the 24/7 Nurse Triage Program to provide state employees with greater access outside of the existing business hours in the event of a workplace injury. For any employee who is injured while at work, the individual and supervisor can contact the 24/7 Nurse Triage Program at 1-833-756-2007 to receive additional health-related instructions for care.

If an individual needs emergency medical treatment, call 911 or take action to seek emergency treatment at the nearest emergency facility. The 24/7 Nurse Triage Program should be used for cases not requiring emergent care.

Employees should contact their supervisor or HCS liaison if they have questions related to this new program. For additional information, please see the Human Capital Services' Workers' Compensation Insurance website regarding this process.
