National association recognizes work of engineering professor

Submitted by Deb Harper

Suprem Das, assistant professor of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering, has been recognized by the National Graphene Association for his research in developing a graphene-based soil sensor and sensor arrays to study the spatial-temporal soil phosphates.

Das, in collaboration with researchers at the University of Texas, San Antonio; University of Alabama, Huntsville; and University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, will conduct a three-year project on "Real-time and Continuous Monitoring of Phosphates in the Soil and Graphene-Based Printed Sensor Arrays."
