Dean of College of Agriculture and director of K-State Research and Extension candidate finalists

The search committee announces three finalists who will interview for dean of the College of Agriculture and director of K-State Research and Extension, and invite you to attend the open forums presented by each candidate.

  • Marty Matlock, professor and executive director of the Resiliency Center at the University of Arkansas, will interview May 7-8. The open forum will be 9:30-11 a.m. on May 8 in Ballroom A&D, K-State Alumni Center. 
  • William Payne, professor and dean of College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources at the University of Nevada, Reno, will interview May 13-14. The open forum will be 9:30-11 a.m. on May 14 in Ballroom A&D, K-State Alumni Center.
  • J. Ernest Minton, professor and interim dean of College of Agriculture and interim director of K-State Research and Extension at Kansas State University, will interview May 15-16. The open forum will be 9:30-11 a.m. on May 16 in Ballroom A&D, K-State Alumni Center. 

K-Staters are encouraged to review the application materials and attend each open forum and Q&A session titled, "Breakthroughs 2030: A Research, Extension, and Education Agenda for a 21st Century Land Grant University."

Application materials and itinerary for each candidate are available on the Office of the Provost search website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. For those unable to attend in-person, the open forums will be streamed live and archived on the Provost's search website. There also will be an online candidate feedback survey on that website. 

Oral or written feedback on the candidates may also be directed to members of the search committee.
