22nd Annual GROW Summer Workshop - June 9-11, 2021
Save the date for the 22nd annual GROW Summer Workshop, held June 9-11, 2021. More details will be announced soon -- we're in the process of determining the best format for this year's event, and thank you for your patience.
What does this event typically look like?
The GROW Summer Workshop is a three-day exploration event designed to foster girls' continued interest in pursuing majors or careers in science, technology, engineering, math or pre-health fields. The event will be held on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan. The GROW Workshop is for students who will complete 5th, 6th or 7th grade in May 2020. Our EXCITE Workshop is for those who will finish 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade in May.
Over the 3 days, students will participate in hands-on activities developed and facilitated by K-State faculty, staff and students from a variety of STEM fields. Interaction with professors and professionals will allow participants to gain insight into those careers.
The registration fee includes housing in K-State residence hall rooms (double occupancy), as well as all meals from lunch on Wednesday to lunch on Friday. Snacks are provided during the morning and afternoon sessions, as well as in the residence halls in the evening. On the registration form, participants can indicate the name of another student with whom they would like to share a room, as well as any dietary considerations. We will make every effort to fulfill the request.
