GROW: Girls Researching Our World

Welcome to the GROW Program at K-State

2022-2023 Update

KAWSE takes health and safety very seriously. While GROW is hosting events in-person the year, we will continue to monitor the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and follow all guidance from the university, KDHE and CDC. KAWSE staff can be reached Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM by emailing, calling 785-532-6088, or stopping by our physical office located at 215 Fairchild.

The goal of the Girls Researching Our World (GROW) program is to increase girls' interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. All students in grades 6-8 are welcome to participate in hands-on activities presented by K-State faculty, staff, and students.

We offer one-day events each semester and a 3 day, 2 night summer workshop on the K-State campus in Manhattan, KS for middle school students. All events focus on the role of scientists, engineers, and other STEM professionals in making the world a better place.

Information about our events and programs, including how to register, can be found on our Events page.
