Awards and Recognition
GSC Awards and Recognition Reception
Held each April during K-State's Graduate Student Appreciation Month, the annual GSC Awards and Recognition Reception serves to recognize accomplishments of K-State graduate students. As was the case with all other campus events scheduled after spring break, this year's reception was canceled as part of K-State's response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Graduate Student Council did not want this year's graduate student accomplishments and contributions to go unrecognized and has compiled a list of the recognitions that were to be shared at this year's reception.
Notable Scholarly Student Achievements
In Fall 2010, the Graduate Student Council created an Awards and Recognition Committee. This committee strives to increase awareness of graduate student achievements and contributions to the university. One way the committee works toward this goal is by compiling a regular newsletter recognizing graduate students who have had noteworthy scholarly achievements. The Graduate Student Council Awards and Recognition Committee would like to recognize all graduate students who have had notable scholarly achievements, such as awards at conferences, research forums, teaching awards, etc., or who have made exceptional contributions to the research knowledge-base or other scholarly contributions to their discipline.
