Graduate Dean's Award for Excellence, Engagement, and Leadership

The Graduate Dean's Award for Excellence, Engagement, and Leadership recognizes graduate students who are excelling in their graduate programs. These graduate students not only thrive academically but also actively engage in professional development, demonstrate strong leadership, and inspire those around them.

Award

Two graduate students are selected for this award and receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Graduate School. Awardees are recognized at the annual Spring Student and Faculty Recognition Celebration.

Eligibility requirements

To be considered for this award, graduate students must participate in all three research forum events organized by the Graduate School.

Applicants must also summarize their research or scholarly accomplishments, leadership experience, engagement activities, and how they have positively impacted others.

A support letter from the student’s faculty mentor or another faculty member is required.

The application for 2025-2026 has closed. Award recipients will be announced at the Graduate Student and Faculty Recognition Celebration on April 26.
