Performance Management Planning Initiative

Supporting the K-State Workforce

The Next-Gen K-State vision — with its included foundational theme of building and sustaining our workforce — has implored us re-envision how we manage and reward our workforce.

This comprehensive refresh of our performance management process is poised to modernize the K-State talent management functions to recruit, retain and advance university staff in a streamlined way.

Please understand that this effort does not include tenured or non-tenure track teaching and/or research faculty, graduate students or student employees. It is designed for unclassified and USS staff only.

The K-State Staff Performance Management process is designed to align individual goals and performance with the university’s mission, core values and standards of excellence. This continuous approach focuses on collaboration, growth and regular feedback to help employees achieve both personal and institutional successs.

Launched in January 2025, relevant forms, trainings and resources were developed during Phase I of the Performance Management initiative to support the now operationalized process, overseen by Human Resources.
