All
the games reviewed on this list are recommended. If I think a game is
not worth your money, I don't put it on the list. All the games here have
an excellent game design that provides an equal opportunity for winning,
clear (though sometimes fairly complex) rules, and a tempo that keeps
everyone involved in the game. All games included on the list can be enjoyed
by adults as well.
My
recommendation does not mean, of course, that your enjoyment of the game
is guaranteed. The review categories in the Recommended Games list
are intended to help you make a decision. Click on any category title
at the top of the column for more information about that category. Click
on the game title to go to a photo of the game and additional information.

and reviews of the games that interest you. Funagain (www.funagain.com)
is the best place to start. The prices we quote on this page are based
on the Funagain rate. The description for many of the reviewed
games on our list includes a direct link to that game page on the Funagain site.
You can also conduct your own searches at Funagain. The WonderWise
Parent does not attempt to provide detailed description of game mechanics
since that information is provided at Funagain and other game
sites. The Funagain site includes links at the bottom of each
game page to other very worthwhile sites. The
Boardgame Geek is a great site for gamers.
