8-1 Stay in perspective
Keep in mind that these baby behaviors are not intentional. A baby is just doing what babies do.
Emotional experiences are challenging moments when we are at risk of doing something impulsive and stupid. A woman not far from where I live stopped on the interstate in a snowstorm and forced her two children who were screaming at each other out of car because she had reached her breaking point. Fortunately, a police officer was the next car on the scene and rescued the children and arrested the mother. She insisted that she was trying to “teach them a lesson” and was going to turn around and retrieve them.
My point here is that children stretch our hearts in every direction, for good or bad. Children challenge us to be better people. Responding to this challenge makes us more fully human.
