5-3 Respect that runs deep
Men have different opinions and definitions of respect. There’s the formal view of respect associated with a formal position. We are respectful of the police officer who stops us for speeding and the judge who hears our case. Some might believe that a man who is a father deserves this kind of respect as well. But this form of respect is a thin veneer that has no real impact on our lives.

Respect that goes deep into our hearts has to be observed, experienced, and earned. The respected person then has a profound effect on our lives. Those we respect serve as powerful models
