Parents' Club
The Sigma Nu Parents' Club supports the members of house by providing annual scholarships
to the members with strong academic achievement, financial assistance for special
projects, and encouragement to their sons. Any parent of an active member or candidate
is eligible to join. The Parents' Club raises funds through annual membership dues
of $50 per family as well as an auction during Mom's Weekend each Spring and a golf
tournament during Dad's Weekend each Fall.
In addition to funding scholarships for the men with high academic achievement, this
year, the Parents' Club purchased new furniture for the living room and co-sponsored
a chartered bus for the members to travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend the funeral
of Jim Treece, father of member Bobby Treece and candidate Adam Treece. The furniture
purchased includes four sofas, three end tables, a sofa table, two lamps, two rugs,
and two wing chairs. The support of the Parent's Club is critical to our success.
