EMBS hosts Medtronic for discussion today
The Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, or EMBS, a registered departmental student organization, will host Medtronic from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in Room 93 of Engineering Hall.
Medtronic, a global biomedical engineering company with sites throughout the U.S., will discuss the role of an engineer in its company.
According to the Medtronic website, "More than half the world's population lacks access to essential health care. And the deadliest diseases disproportionately impact marginalized populations. Health care technology can be a profound equalizer. We partner with health systems to bring revolutionary technology to communities worldwide."
