'The Role of Beef in a Sustainable Food System' presentation Oct. 16
Global Food Systems will host a presentation, "The Role of Beef in a Sustainable Food System," from 4-5 p.m. Oct. 16 in Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building.
Sara Place, senior director of sustainable beef production research for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, will present on and lead a discussion about the sometimes-controversial topic of the role of beef in a sustainable food system.
Attendees will be encouraged to share challenges, water and climate impact as well as where this topic might fit or challenge their area of study or academic interest.
This presentation is intended for an interdisciplinary audience with the additional hope of some good questions and discussion.
