'Treasure' to kick off Why I Give Week
As the seventh annual Why I Give Week kicks off Sept. 30, join Student Foundation in celebrating and fostering K-State's culture of philanthropy. Each day will be themed around a unique aspect of philanthropy, with "Treasure" starting the week off and Student Foundation highlighting how financial gifts have helped K-State, including:
- Banners outside buildings throughout campus will illustrate the facilities supported by philanthropy.
- Purple flags on the Quad will represent more than 6,000 students who received privately funded scholarships last year and more than $14 million in philanthropic gifts transferred to campus for student scholarships last year.
- Join us at the Why I Give Week table from 11 a.m. 2 p.m. on Bosco Student Plaza each day for free giveaways and treats.
The KSU Foundation works with individuals, corporations and foundations to unite philanthropic desires with university priorities. The student-led K-State Student Foundation extends that mission by engaging campus in charitable fundraising and awareness activities.
