Move-out recycling available

Recycle symbol

Let's finish with an "A" in recycling during this move-out time. If you are cleaning out your residence room, studio or office, let's work together to reduce the amount of material going to the landfill and recycle.

In the residence halls, recycling containers for books, nonperishable foods, clothing and blankets are available. Outside all residence halls, large blue roll-off containers are available for all recycle material that you can place plastics No. 1-7, cardboard material, aluminum and tin cans, all paper products, and metal items, which will be recycled. All other nonrecyclable material will go in the landfill container never to be used again.

In campus buildings, countless desk-side bins may be utilized for recycle material. If you have a great deal we have large blue recycling toters behind every building for large capacity materials.

In addition, 20 larger blue recycle bins are located at the K-State recycle center for plastics No. 1-7, cardboard material, aluminum and tin cans, and all paper products. We also have six glass containers and seven large cardboard containers for large boxes. These containers are available 24 hours a day for your convenience. Thanks for a great year in making this university a more sustainable environment.
