Get info about applying for a Fulbright U.S. Student Grant

Submitted by Kali Poenitske

The application is now open for the Fulbright U.S. Student Grant. Students are encouraged to attend one of the three informational sessions to learn about the campus process; explore options for study, research, or teaching abroad; and pick up some tips for writing a competitive application.

Sessions will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, and Wednesday, April 10, in 215 Fairchild Hall. There also will be a brown bag lunch option from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in 215 Fairchild Hall. Students unable to attend are encouraged to make an appointment with the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships, ideally before the end of the spring 2019 semester, to discuss your application.

Applicants must submit the Fulbright application to 215 Fairchild Hall on or before the campus deadline on Aug. 30.

The Fulbright funds study or research in more than 140 different countries. English teaching assistantships also are available in more than 70 countries. Any student who will have completed their first degree by May 2020, including alumni and current graduate students, is eligible to apply.
