Olivia Caridi dishes on 'The Bachelor' and bullying

Submitted by Hannah Ens

Olivia Caridi's time on Ben Higgins' 2016 season of ABC's "The Bachelor" ended with viewers regarding her as one of the more infamous villains in the show's history. She will share about her time on the show and how the backlash deeply impacted her mental health at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in Forum Hall on the ground floor of the K-State Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.

Caridi studied broadcast journalism and English at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, where she was active in Chi Omega sorority and served as executive editor of TCU360, the school's 24-hour online news source. After graduating in 2014, she was a television news anchor for the NBC/Fox affiliate WCYB/WEMT-TV in Tri-Cities, Tennessee and Virginia.

Since the show, Caridi started her popular "Mouthing Off" podcast on Entercom's Cadence 13 podcast network, formerly CBS Radio. She interviews influencers and reality stars from some of the biggest television shows, including "The Bachelor," "Big Brother," "Jersey Shore" and "The Real Housewives" franchise. She has a way of getting her guests to open up about the behind-the-scenes view of reality television, the latest gossip, and the tolls these shows can take on mental health, considering her own mental health difficulties after "The Bachelor."
