Explore K-State's majors, minors and more at browsing fair on Oct. 12

Submitted by Ashley Bailey

Are you wanting to make yourself more marketable to employers? Are you currently enrolled in open option? Or are you not fully enjoying your current major? Attend the Majors, Minors and More Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, in the K-State Student Union Ballroom.

Come and go as you please with your student ID to enter the fair.

The Majors, Minors and More Fair is conveniently timed just before spring enrollment begins.

• Make yourself more marketable to employers: When it comes to hiring, employers are looking for much more than what you're majoring in. Many students find adding a minor or certificate program is a great way to not only make themselves more marketable to employers, but also a way to optimize the education experience at K-State.

• If you are currently enrolled in open option: Even though you can technically stay in open option until you've completed 60 hours, wouldn't it be great to find your major sooner than that?

• If you do not enjoy your current major: Going to class can be a struggle if you haven't found much success in the classes for your major. This may be an indication that it's not a great fit, so why not explore some other options?

Every student who attends has the chance to win door prizes from sponsors such as Best Buy, UMI Japanese Steakhouse and Dunkin' Donuts.

Majors, Minors and More is sponsored by the Career Center, the Arts & Sciences Open Option Program, Housing and Dining Services, and the academic colleges of Kansas State University.
