Commerce Bank Presidential Awards for Diversity open solicitation for nominations

Submitted by Karla Camacho Godoy

Dear colleagues and students:

On behalf of the selection committee for the Commerce Bank Presidential Awards for Diversity, I am pleased to announce that the solicitation for nominations is now open.

The Commerce Bank Presidential Faculty and Staff Award for Distinguished Services to Historically Underrepresented Students was established in 1978 to recognize outstanding individual contributions to the development of quality education for students of color at Kansas State University.

The Commerce Bank Presidential Student Award for Distinguished Services in Enhancing Multiculturalism at Kansas State University was established in spring 1997 to recognize outstanding individual contributions to diversity enhancement within the student sector.

Information is available online describing eligibility, and nomination and application criteria for each award. On behalf of the selection committee, I would like to invite you to consider applying for or nominating candidates for one or both awards. We would also appreciate your circulating this notice on the lists you use to publicize diversity information.

You may find the nomination/applications online. The deadline for both awards is Oct. 18.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Sincerely yours,
Karla Camacho-Godoy
