Advisor Forum presents September Charlie Award

Submitted by Beth Stuewe

The K-State Advisor Forum announces Andrew Sneed, academic advisor and instructor in architectural engineering and construction science, has been selected for the September Charlie Award.

Sneed was nominated for this award by one of his advisees, Joe Schmidt, because of his effectiveness, transparency and honesty as an advisor.

Schmidt said, "Andrew Sneed has been incredibly effective as an advisor and a teacher through my time at K-State. He is always available to meet about anything, creates a welcoming environment that makes talking to him easy, and he is very transparent and honest about what he believes is the best next step for you to take. He will always try and steer you in the right path and acknowledges that each student has their own path. This allows him to adjust to each student's needs, which he does a great job of. I have nothing but praise for Professor Sneed as a teacher, advisor and engineering professional."

Ray Buyle, department head for architectural engineering and construction science added, "Andrew is a very deserving recipient of this honor. He is always a student-first advocate and is well-respected by our students and his colleagues."

The Advisor Forum Committee thanks Sneed for the work he has done and congratulates him on this award.
