David Pickering to present faculty recital Sept. 15

Pickering

David Pickering, professor of music, will perform a solo organ recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, on the historic Austin organ in All Faiths Chapel.

The recital features works by Nicolas de Grigny, Cesar Franck, Alice Jordan, J.J. Keeler and Leroy Robertson. Alyssa Morris, associate professor of music, will join Pickering in performing Alice Jordan's "Aria for Oboe and Organ." The recital is free and open to the public. 

Active recitalist, recording artist, scholar and author, Pickering is chair of the Keyboard Division at Kansas State University. His career as a performer has carried him across the United States as well as to Austria, Canada, England, Finland and Germany. Learn more.
