Lafene offers free skin cancer screenings

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S. It is estimated that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. The good news is that skin cancer is highly treatable when detected early.
Lafene Health Center is offering a free skin cancer screening clinic for faculty and staff this summer. Rosanne Kreller, Lafene's certified dermatology nurse practitioner, will provide the screenings in private exam rooms at Lafene Health Center. Kreller will examine exposed skin areas and will note findings and make recommendations for next steps if needed. The screenings will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
A limited number of appointments are available on July 17, 18 and 19, and appointments can be made through the myLAFENE+ patient portal or by calling 785-532-6544. Any K-State employee is eligible for this service. Patients will need to check in at Lafene 10 minutes prior to their appointment.
