K-State twirlers have success at state competition
Submitted by the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance
Two K-State twirlers recently competed in the State of Kansas Twirling Championships.
Feature twirler Bailey Walke, junior in mechanical/aerospace engineering from West Des Moines, Iowa, and K-State twirler Kaylee Brungardt, sophomore in chemical engineering from Lenexa, both achieved great success with multiple awards.
Walke earned Collegiate Miss Majorette of Kansas, Collegiate Solo State Champion and Collegiate X-Strut Champion.
Brungardt earned Advanced Senior State X-Strut Champion and Advanced Senior Open X-Strut — first place.
