Geography and geospatial sciences department recognizes scholarship recipients for 2023-2024

The geography and geospatial sciences department presented awards and scholarships at its annual honors and awards reception on May 2. The department awarded $43,000 in scholarship funds to undergraduate and graduate students for the 2023-2024 academic year. 

The following students received awards: 

Wyatt Cheney, master's student; Michael Madin, doctoral student; and Clay Robertson, doctoral student: Steven Kale Graduate Research Fellowships.

Stephanie Williams, senior; and Sande Williams, master's student: William Grimm Undergraduate Scholarship.

Jessie McClellan, junior: Huber Self Scholarship in Geography.

Jessie McClellan, junior; and Stephanie Williams, senior: H.L. Seyler Undergraduate GIScience Scholarship.

John "Jack" Crampton, senior: LeBlanc Outstanding Undergraduate Major Award.

Colin Barclay, senior: NCGE/AAG Excellence in Scholarship Award.

Rebecca Lima, doctoral student: Stephen and Susan White GTA Excellence Award.

Brenden Jones, junior; Jessie McClellan, junior; and Duncan Young, junior: Robert H. Williams Undergraduate Geography Scholarships.

Clay Robertson, doctoral student: Department Leadership Award.

Rebecca Lima, doctoral student; and Clay Robertson, doctoral student: Dobbs Outstanding Citizen Award.

Jessie McClellan, junior; and Jean Francois, doctoral student: Milton and Emma Jean Rafferty GTU Geography Scholarships.

Harsimran Singh Sodhi, doctoral student: Marston Muddy Boots Award.

Stephanie Williams, senior: Linda Patterson Geography Scholarship.

Shreya Ojha, doctoral student: Hartington Family Scholarship.

Jessie McClellan, junior: Steven Kale Undergraduate Research Fellowship.
