Knight to present Need-To-Know event today

Submitted by Ashley A. Schiffer

Trina Knight from the Center for Advocacy, Response and Education, or CARE, will present a Need-To-Know event, "Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence On Campus: Staying Informed and Empowered in the Classroom," from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, via Zoom as part of the Teaching and Learning Center's Professional Development Series.

The Center for Advocacy, Response and Education provides support and resources to faculty, staff and students who have experienced relationship or sexual violence.

After the presentation, participants will ideally have a better understanding of CARE's mission/philosophy, its advocacy and outreach services, university policies and procedures, the scope and impact of interpersonal violence on campus and tips for supporting students and peers who have experienced sexual or relationship violence.
