Gaulke appointed research fellow at IZA — Institute of Labor Economics

Submitted by Amanda Gaulke

Amanda Gaulke, assistant professor of economics, has been appointed as a research fellow at IZA — Institute of Labor Economics.

The mission of IZA is to narrow the distance between science and society, and transport relevant knowledge about the working world to the general public, political actors and economic players. The institute prides itself in being an impartial source of important research and policy advice. IZA is composed of a local research institute in Bonn, Germany, and a global network of research fellows — experienced researchers, and research affiliates — junior researchers and graduate students.

The benefits to becoming a research fellow include increased exposure through distributing papers as part of their working paper series, access to data and computing services, and being able to apply for a research stay to collaborate with the local team.

Gaulke's research ties to IZA's focus areas of family and gender economics and the economics of education.
