New EHS Assistant inventory tool launching soon

Submitted by Adam Ukena

The current EHS Assistant program will go down Aug. 15 for the final data conversion. The new EHS Assistant inventory tool will launch shortly after on Aug. 17. We will strictly be using the new site after that.

EHS Assistant is an online inventory tool provided by Environmental Health and Safety to assist K-State personnel in managing their hazardous chemical and radiological materials for the purpose of maintaining a centralized record of all chemicals present on campus. Laboratories are required to maintain an up-to-date inventory of all hazardous chemicals present in their work area in this system.

All university principal investigators who had inventory in the previous system will have their data converted Aug. 15 into the new system and once launched will be asked to review their inventories to verify and update their inventories regularly. As new capabilities are added to EHS Assistant, we will list them on the website. Another article will go out with the instructions and new site on the relaunch date.
