Celebrate Undergraduate Research Week with OURCI April 18-22

K-State faculty, staff and students are invited to take part in a week of activities designed to celebrate the contributions of undergraduate researchers, as a part of Undergraduate Research Week, April 18-22. The Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry, or OURCI, is pleased to raise awareness of undergraduate researchers and the resources available on campus to support them.

Students can enter to win prizes by attending events. At each event, students can earn one or more tickets, with each ticket as an opportunity to win a prize basket. Prize baskets include gift cards, K-State gear, OURCI swag and more.

Undergraduate Research Week events include:

April 18 — Quick Chats, 2-3:30 p.m. at the Morris Family Multicultural Student Center. OURCI will have a table in the Morris Family Multicultural Student Center for students to stop by and learn about undergraduate research. Visit us between 2-3:30 p.m.

April 19 — Donuts and Conversation with OURCI Ambassadors, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the K-State Student Union. Visit the OURCI Ambassadors from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the K-State Student Union, across from Cat’s Den. OURCI Ambassadors will be available to answer any questions you might have about undergraduate research. Free donuts while supplies last.

April 20 — The WHAT and HOW of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry, 4-5 p.m., Cottonwood Room in the K-State Student Union. Curious about undergraduate research or creative inquiry but not quite sure how to get started? Hear from current undergraduate students and learn more about campus opportunities from 4-5 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room in the K-State Student Union. Cookies are available while supplies last.

April 21 — In-Person Undergraduate Research Showcase, 5-7 p.m. at K-State Student Union Ballroom. Check out research projects from undergraduate students from across campus. The event also features the work of students in the Developing Scholars Program. The research showcase will take place from 5-7 p.m. in the K-State Student Union Ballroom. Light snacks are available while supplies last.

April 20-22 — Virtual Undergraduate Research Showcase. Students from across campus will be presenting their work through our virtual research showcase. View their projects from the comfort of your own home or office! To attend this virtual event, please visit symposium.foragerone.com/spring22urs.

Undergraduate Research Week is designated by the Council for Undergraduate Research. It is a time where undergraduate research is celebrated, students are congratulated on their research and faculty are thanked for their help and guidance throughout the process.
