Henry Segerman, associate professor of mathematics at Oklahoma State University, will present at the online Art and Math Seminar from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, via Zoom.

The talk will describe two mathematically designed projects. The Dice Lab, started by Segerman and Robert Fathauer in 2014, has since produced more than 30 different unusual dice designs. The speaker will talk about the mathematical, functional and aesthetic aspects. The challenges of the physical designs of a variant of the classic sliding tile "15 puzzle" with positive and with negative curvature will be explained in the second half of the talk.

Registration is required to participate in this seminar.

The online Art and Math Seminar, organized by the mathematics department, is dedicated to visual creativity inspired by mathematical sciences.
