Fire Prevention Week events begin today

Fire prevention events that K-State offers will occur on the Manhattan and Salina campuses from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4-7 at the following locations:

Oct. 4 — Bosco Plaza.
Oct. 5 — Outside of main entrance at Wefald Hall.
Oct. 6 — Derby Dining Center.
Oct. 7 — Salina campus near College Center.

Activities will include free fire extinguisher training, distribution of educational materials and free giveaways, including coloring books and firefighter hats for kids, coupons to Student Union food vendors, as well as firefighter apparatus displays and demonstrations.

The 2021 Fire Prevention Week at K-State is sponsored by K-State's Division of Public Safety in conjunction with the Manhattan Fire Department, Kansas Fire Marshal's Office and Kansas Forest Service. For more information about Fire Prevention Week call 785-532-6856.
