Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls for February

News from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, or CPSC. Recalls from the weeks ending Feb. 28.

Implus Footcare recalls Perfect Fitness Resistance Bands due to injury hazard; Sold exclusively at WalMart. The bands can detach from the mesh cloth loops posing an injury hazard to the user and those in the vicinity. Photos are available.

4moms(r) Breeze(tm) Cotton Jersey Playard sheets recalled due to entrapment hazard. The sheets are too small for the play yards. A sheet that does not properly fit the play yard poses an entrapment hazard that could lead to suffocation. Photos available.

Progressive International recalls Canning Jar Lifters due to laceration hazard. The jar lifter handle can detach over time due to a missing stainless steel core in the hinge. This can cause the tongs to fail to grip and allow a jar being lifted to fall, posing a laceration hazard to the user. Photos available.

Purr-Fection Beamerzzz(tm) stuffed animals with flashlights recalled by MJC due to laceration hazard, sold exclusively at Cabela's. LED flashlight wires can protrude through the stuffed toy, posing a laceration hazard. Photos are available.

Cramer recalls Task*It 1-UP folding step stools due to fall hazard. The folding step stool can crack or break and collapse, posing a fall hazard to the user. Photos are available.

Samsonite recalls dual-wattage travel converter kits due to fire, burn hazards. The converter can overheat if a load in excess of 50 watts is applied to the converter while in the 50-watt setting. This poses a fire and burn hazard to consumers. Photos are available.

Homelite recalls Electric Blower Vacuums due to laceration hazard; Sold exclusively at Home Depot. Objects that are drawn into the unit during vacuum mode can break through the plastic housing, posing a laceration hazard. Photos available.

Expert Gardener Electric Blower Vacuums recalled by OWT Industries due to laceration hazard; Sold exclusively at Walmart. Objects that are drawn into the unit during vacuum mode can break through the plastic housing, posing a laceration hazard. Photos available.

One World Technologies recalls Ryobi Lithium 18 V 4Ah Battery Pack due to fire and burn hazards. The battery pack can overheat and burst while on a charger, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. Photos are available.

Dynacraft recalls Hello Kitty City motor scooters due to fall hazard; Sold exclusively at Toys R Us. The scooters can accelerate suddenly while in use, causing the rider to lose control and fall. Photos are available.

Jerdon Style recalls One-Cup Coffeemakers due to burn and fire hazards. The coffeemaker can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. Pictures available.

Liberty Mountain recalls Mountain Climbing Easy Go XP Lock Via Ferrata Lanyards due to risk of serious injury. The elastic webbing on the lanyards can deteriorate over time and break while in use, posing a risk of serious injury or death to the climber. Pictures available.
