48-Hour Film Challenge begins Thursday, March 25, at 6 p.m.
The 48-Hour Film Challenge kickoff event will be online at 6 p.m. CDT Thursday, March 25.
The event is open to all students currently enrolled at Kansas State University. Students should sign up to participate in the Film Challenge at k-state.edu/48filmfest/sign-up.html, and then register for the Zoom launch at tinyurl.com/48hrfilm2021.
"Sign up with a team or let us match you with a team, and get the three elements you'll need to include in your short film: a line of dialogue, a prop, and a setting. Once the clock starts, you and your team will have 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, and submit a film and compete for first prize and audience choice awards," said Katy Karlin, associate professor of English and coordinator for the certificate in film studies and the 48-Hour Film Challenge.
The films will be judged by a panel of film experts and screened online on April 8.
