Parking garage and Morris Family Multicultural Student Center

Service to be interrupted: Electricity

Buildings involved: Parking Structure and Morris Family Multicultural Student Center

Interruption date: Saturday, Oct. 10

Time: 7-9 a.m.

What does this affect: All building electricity, elevators, computers, pumps, air conditioning — anything that is operated from electricity. The Morris Family Multicultural Student Center will not have electricity and the Parking Garage will automatically switch to generator power and be without normal power for the two hours.

Reason for the interruption: Connect permanent power to the new Morris Family Multicultural Student Center and disconnect the contractor's job trailer.

McCain Auditorium, Nichols Hall, Beach Museum of Art, Thompson Hall and Danforth/All Faiths Chapels

What does this affect: Steam heat to listed buildings

Reason for the interruption: Construction on McCain Auditorium addition

Ackert Hall

Building involved: Ackert Hall

Interruption time and date: 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 12

What does this affect: All water and gas services to the building

Reason for the interruption: 227 Ackert Hall renovation project, capping off of lines in old lab space.

 

Leasure Hall

Interruption time and date: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12

What does this affect: Anything that uses water.

Reason for the interruption: Replace shut off valve at basement drinking fountain to complete installation of retrofit bottle filler.
