Reminder: General meeting of faculty and unclassified professionals today

Submitted by Faculty Senate

Dear Colleagues,

This is a reminder that there will be a general meeting of the faculty and unclassified professionals via YouTube Live today at 3:30 p.m. At this meeting, we will discuss proposed Faculty Senate constitution changes and then we will have open discussion for you to bring up issues of interest or concern, including relating to administrative furloughs.

In order to discuss and prepare for a vote on proposed revisions to University Handbook Appendix E: Faculty Senate Constitution, please review the proposed adjustments as shared on the Faculty Senate website (attachment 1 with track changes and attachment 2 as a clean version with the proposed revisions incorporated). An electronic vote via a Qualtrics survey will be distributed via email directly following the meeting.

The constitution revision discussion will be followed by an open discussion of administrative furlough implementation and equity. This will be an opportunity for faculty and staff to share their ideas, questions, and concerns relating to the administrative furlough process. This discussion can help inform the work of the Faculty Senate Committee on University Planning for this academic year. The remaining time will be available for other questions and statements.

Please visit the Faculty Senate webpage to view the stream. An eID and password will be required to view the stream. You will also be able to use the chat feature to ask questions, raise concerns and make statements. You are also welcome to submit your questions or statements to facsen@k-state.edu

We look forward to having you with us.
