Reminder: Laboratory Safety Renovation Program cost estimate requirements

Submitted by Tara Fronce

Laboratory Safety Renovation Program proposals that address safety or compliance issues within or related to research or teaching laboratory space will be accepted until March 27. Proposals require an estimate of costs for labor and materials from facilities. Cost estimates must be requested from facilities by Feb. 28 by contacting the facilities help desk at 785-532-6389.

The application form and additional information about the program are available on the Laboratory Safety Renovation Program website.

The Laboratory Safety Renovation Program was created in November 2018 to address safety and compliance issues in laboratories. The program is renewed for another year and will continue to award $500,000 from deferred maintenance support funds and require a one-to-one departmental match. Proposals must be submitted by college or major unit leaders.
