Strategic planning session for NSF Smart and Connected Communities proposal teams June 5

Submitted by Mary Lou Marino

Following the high interest attendance at the initial NSF Smart and Connected Communities session, a follow-up strategic planning session will take place from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, in 1139 Engineering Hall. The purpose of this session is to assist faculty in identifying collaborative partners as well as provide guidance that will help teams to write the letter of intent, and ultimately a full proposal. Attendance at the first meeting is not a prerequisite — all faculty and staff with interest in teaming on a submission are welcome to attend.

Prior to this next meeting, we ask that you consider the following:

  • What role would you like to assume in this project? Specifically, each team will need a faculty member to serve in the role of PI.
  • What ideas are you interested in exploring through S&CC? What research questions will you ask?
